Analytics & Reporting#
Create a calendar with explicit approval state#
Use Google Sheets or Airtable for post ID, channel, draft, media URL, scheduled time, timezone and approval state. Keep draft, approved, publishing, published and failed states separate. Repurpose blog content into channel-specific drafts, but require editorial approval before publishing AI-generated text.
Check API access before building publishing branches#
Confirm each platform permits publishing for your account type and grants the required scopes; access and costs vary. Use a supported app node or HTTP Request with stored credentials. Validate media format and text limits against that platform’s documentation. A workflow cannot bypass an API restriction or unsupported account type.
Schedule and publish without duplicate posts#
Use Schedule Trigger → calendar query → approval check → per-channel publish → status update. Store the platform post ID after success. Mark a record as in progress with a concurrency-safe claim before publishing. If a request times out, reconcile its result before retrying: a timeout does not prove that no post was created.
Collect analytics and surface failures#
Fetch metrics only where the platform API provides access. Store the post ID, observation time and metric definitions so reports do not compare incompatible measurements. Send a weekly summary to Slack and alert on publishing failures. Test expired credentials, rejected media, missing approval, timezone boundaries and repeated schedule runs.
